1. Standard Warranty Cover
All retail vehicles sold by SMJ Motors include a 30 to 90-day warranty depending on the vehicle.
- Coverage varies: Some vehicles include Engine Only; others include Engine and Gearbox.
- Coverage type and duration will be confirmed on your purchase invoice.
2. Labour Rate & Claim Limits
- Labour rate covered: £50 inc. VAT/hour.
- Max claim limit: £500 including parts and labour.
- Repairs must be authorised in writing before commencement.
3. What Is Covered
- Engine: Pistons, crankshaft, camshaft, oil pump, etc.
- Gearbox (if applicable): Internal components only.
- Labour costs as per policy.
4. What Is Not Covered- Wear & tear: brakes, tyres, clutches, suspension, etc.
- Electrical items (unless extended warranty bought).
- Bodywork, interior trim, or infotainment.
- Damage due to negligence or abuse.
- Pre-existing faults unless declared at sale.
5. Extended Warranty
Options Optional extended plans: 3, 6, 12, or 24 months.
- Electrical & Mechanical cover included.
- Breakdown recovery (if applicable).
- Terms and conditions apply at point of sale.
6. Customer Responsibilities
- Maintain vehicle regularly (fluids, servicing).
- Report faults immediately.
- Keep all service records.
- Unauthorised repairs will not be reimbursed.
7. Additional Terms
- Warranty is non-transferable unless agreed in writing.
- Proof of service may be required for claims.
- All claims are subject to inspection.
